Welcome to Hoops Boston v5. In a story that will be familiar to the longtime readers, the past articles (specifically those from January 25th, 2007 until January of 2008) were lost in the last server switch. To make a long story short, our old machine was dying, and we switched hosting providers. When we ran the final site backup the Hoops Boston database wasn’t transferred (possibly because it was the largest of them). We even had a second site backup in case the first was bad, but in neither file was the Hoops Boston database properly transferred.
At the time frustration (combined with hectic work schedules) took us away from basketball blogging . But in the euphoria of the Celtics triumph over evil, we’re back, better than ever. OK, not really. No team relying on gutless weasels like Pussy Galore and Sasha Vujina can really be evil. Obviously we never got the Hoops Boston Awards voting started this year, so the seventh annual awards were cancelled, but they’ll make their return next year. We still have the raw vote totals for the 2007 Awards somewhere (though the article announcing them was lost). We’ll try to get the older articles (that survive) up for you and get together the 2007 Awards for a post.
